After 2 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Mastache. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Traian Traian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Traian Traian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Traian, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Traian Traian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fotbal Club Vaslui's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wellington Neves in the 20th minute. After taking down the ball on Fotbal Club Vaslui's corner Wellington Neves fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Andrei Oloieru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Tafalla in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Traian Traian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Andrei Oloieru made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Abram Secada sent off a good shot on target. Joshua Garrido struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Andrei Oloieru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fotbal Club Vaslui fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
