But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Leo Busvidad managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 12 minute of the game. Jonathan Venegas made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C.S.D Punta Ballena's Baudelio Valls. Larra Briz came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cesario Olivos kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Larra Briz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of the match. Larra Briz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larra Briz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tomas Illescas sped through C.S.D Punta Ballena's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Larra Briz. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Camilo Gaos with Tomas Illescas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Leo Busvidad managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 39 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Busvidad got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Larra Briz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 41st minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elivareo Monta to strike the kick off in the second half. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Cesario Olivos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Camilo Gaos, made in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 64th minute, Patricio Costa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Larra Briz. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind C.S.D Punta Ballena's goalkeeper Larra Briz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Onofre Masas charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Onofre Masas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patricio Costa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Larra Briz came out and tried to block the shot, but Patricio Costa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Ostadar Ruega got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Larra Briz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Tomas Illescas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Larra Briz 89 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 98th minute of play forced C.S.D Punta Ballena's goalkeeper Larra Briz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Venezuela left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.S.D Punta Ballena.
