In the 4th minute Milagros Cabal suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 4 minutes, Miroslaw Mindykowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Boreham Wood FC and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Boreham Wood FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslaw Mindykowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Juliusz Popowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Gilbert Sakowicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 15th minute, Karol Sitko made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Boreham Wood FC's Wlodzimierz Kilarski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Boreham Wood FC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Wlodzimierz Kilarski threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moises Tafalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Esteban Carvallo's late challenge caught a Boreham Wood FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. 28 minutes into the game, one of Honduras:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Boreham Wood FC a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Juliusz Popowicz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 33rd minute of play forced Boreham Wood FC's goalkeeper Wlodzimierz Kilarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wlodzimierz Kilarski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Villa's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After 42 played minutes Boreham Wood FC got a freekick which was hit by Jan Kaznocha. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Sitko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Villa in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wlodzimierz Kilarski saved Boreham Wood FC from getting behind. In the 61st match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Ocampo to maneuver through the defense. Gilbert Sakowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. Christian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wlodzimierz Kilarski having to interfere. Boreham Wood FC's Wlodzimierz Kilarski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lautaro Navarro stood somewhat misplaced when Karol Sitko came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 77 minute. 82 minutes into the match, Boreham Wood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Wlodzimierz Kilarski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karol Sitko during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Boreham Wood FC's Karol Sitko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Chants of Boreham Wood FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Honduras had held the ball for most of the match.
