The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedito Fiúza got free with Dante Lacasa in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 10th minute of play forced Llavallol FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Llavallol FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Mancebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Llavallol FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Benedito Fiúza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of play forced Llavallol FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agustin Orion. Llavallol FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 25 played minutes Llavallol FC got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Cordero. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Maxin in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 37th minute of play forced Llavallol FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Fiúza in the 43rd minute of play. Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Zorita in the 44th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Llavallol FC's Carlos Maxin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 48 minutes of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Agustin Orion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Agustin Orion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agustin Orion was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Agustin Orion quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Llavallol FC's Benedito Fiúza. But to his dismay, Benedito Fiúza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. With a little luck, Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustin Orion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Llavallol FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Facundo Cadaval made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion managed to reach the ball for a save. Benedito Fiúza scored 3-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Llavallol FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Isaac Cordero hit a great ball. Agustin Orion acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joel Gaona.
