Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastian Abel having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Bastian Abel made a huge save. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Bastian Abel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Bastian Abel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 92nd minute. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
