Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Chaves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 15th minute of play forced SE Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Tony Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SE Palestra Itália's Tony Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play forced SE Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Tony Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, SE Palestra Itália's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Tony Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Chaves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Tony Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Gallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Betão Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SE Palestra Itália's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Vargas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
