After a defensive mix-up in DJVAGALUMY FC.'s zone, Felix Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robinho Amorim came out of the goal and Felix Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Kvammen got free with Julio Vera in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robinho Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Kvammen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benjamin Kvammen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruan Dal Bello in the 54th minute of the match. Robinho Amorim made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Luis Andino sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. When Antonio Arias fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Antonio Arias a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruan Dal Bello's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, DJVAGALUMY FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Robinho Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Robinho Amorim despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DJVAGALUMY FC. throughout the match.
