Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Meireles came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Januário Rangel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the MEXACOMX defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Januário Rangel. The MEXACOMX fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Januário Rangel should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in MEXACOMX's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Januário Rangel came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 played minutes MEXACOMX got a freekick which was hit by Julio-César Romo-Leroux. In the 23rd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Januário Rangel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Ricardo Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MEXACOMX's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Guerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute of play forced MEXACOMX's goalkeeper Januário Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ricardo Guerra was the one to do the kick off. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 53rd minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of MEXACOMX booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Gaona didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. MEXACOMX's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mexico's Macos Graciani to fire away a dangerous shot which Januário Rangel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MEXACOMX.
