Paul Heyckendorf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Kurt Ahrem had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt Ahrem was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Paul Heyckendorf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Lutz Golke in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Mansilha was the one to do the kick off. Academica Pulheim's Maxime Vrints was substituted for Lutz Golke. Academica Pulheim's Hugó Bøss was substituted for Joachim Kretschmer. With an all-out effort, Colombia's Paul Heyckendorf threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ignacio Mastache, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Colombia's Abram Secada looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kevin Mastache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Academica Pulheim were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Colombia for a fine match.
