In the 8th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, Traian Traian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Traian Traian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some careless play in the Panama defense, Traian Traian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. The Panama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcos Cotilla should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Fotbal Club Vaslui were awarded a corner. Javier Montes went to the cornerflag to take it. Andrei Oloieru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 26th minute. Matthew Garrido hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Traian Traian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Traian Traian charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Traian Traian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Panama booed when Fotbal Club Vaslui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Traian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrei Oloieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 37th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 54 minutes, Traian Traian made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Traian Traian came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Fotbal Club Vaslui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Traian Traian couldn't finish the play. Andrei Oloieru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 63rd minute of play. Marcos Cotilla was a little too slow when Traian Traian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-5. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Traian Traian sped through Panama's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Maurinho Maranhense was substituted for Traian Traian. If Maurinho Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Maurinho Maranhense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match Fotbal Club Vaslui got a corner. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Javier Montes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Javier Montes made a great header on Fotbal Club Vaslui's corner, it was just that Panama's Marcos Cotilla managed to reach the ball for a save. Andrei Oloieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Javier Montes made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fotbal Club Vaslui walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
