Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Hermann Hesse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 10th minute of play. If Araoz Solanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Hermann Hesse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Deportivo Popolizio FBC defense, Monty Rogers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hermann Hesse. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Jenson Smith threw the ball into play from the sideline. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Damian Regulez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjørn Trondsen in the 52nd minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of USA's goalie and right to Cleto Trasagua. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. USA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Hermann Hesse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sam Campbell went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tibor Nyilasi in the 94th minute of the match. After 96 minutes USA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cris Ronaldo who took care of the corner kick.
