With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angel-Enrique Comizzo saved Blue Angels from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Blue Angels's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Colombia booed when Blue Angels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blue Angels walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
