Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Felix Pascua took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s Fabricio Vedeja sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joel Caton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Panama's Felipe Ros seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felipe Ros the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Panama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felipe Ros had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Panama:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Loja S.C.:s goal. Panama:s Marcos Cotilla showed great skill when he stopped Reasco Landeros:s penalty. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Pascua in the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Caton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Peres in the 19th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Pascua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Cotilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Vedeja in the 25th minute of play. Isidoro Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Caton having to interfere. Joel Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Vedeja in the 42nd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Vedeja, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Pascua in the 57th minute of play. Loja S.C. made a substitution. Luis-Antonio Barraza replaced Felix Pascua. In the 71st minute, Fabricio Vedeja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabricio Vedeja. Loja S.C. were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Panama's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reasco Landeros took the corner. The corner ended in Reasco Landeros almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla did a great save. The supporters of Panama booed when Loja S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Vedeja didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Caton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joel Caton came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Isidoro Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Aaron Barrios's late challenge caught a Loja S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Barrios helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Loja S.C. booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Barrios didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Berganza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Caton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabricio Vedeja hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Fabian Sala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Panama fans cheered their team off the field, for while Loja S.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
