Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julian Murillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 4th minute of play. Rolando Noboa was a little too slow when Sven-Edvin Jansson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 10th minute of play. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nery Pumpido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Peru booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Máximo Perrone didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Máximo Perrone to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes GuateFortín's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Alonso Berganza made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido managed to reach the ball for a save. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Sven-Edvin Jansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Edvin Jansson to strike the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 51st minute of play. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nery Pumpido having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Nery Pumpido in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sven-Edvin Jansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zico Zellier kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 78th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Sven-Edvin Jansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
