Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joel Gaona took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 6th minute of play forced Cieneguita's goalkeeper Saverio Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saverio Gonchan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Saverio Gonchan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 20th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Cieneguita got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Larpe. After 27 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Saverio Gonchan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. In the 28th match minute, Cieneguita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Llorienzo to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 32 played minutes Cieneguita got a freekick which was hit by Delmiro Gilesindo. 35 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cieneguita's Saverio Gonchan. Saverio Gonchan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Ur scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cieneguita's Saverio Gonchan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 52nd minute of play. Saverio Gonchan came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Facundo Cadaval. But to his dismay, Facundo Cadaval quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Saverio Gonchan in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Alberto Tafalla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saverio Gonchan was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 68th minute of play forced Cieneguita's goalkeeper Saverio Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Cieneguita's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Saverio Gonchan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 71st minute of play forced Cieneguita's goalkeeper Saverio Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Ur, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Cristian Ur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Saverio Gonchan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 84th minute. Saverio Gonchan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Manex during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Diego Manex hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
