Lino Valladares made in the 37th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jackie Tan however managed to control. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Cremonese FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yasar Bonnemain didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Felipe Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kong Gang Zhan came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 46 played minutes Cremonese FC got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Branco. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Batista made a kick off. Bruno Beldad hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Jaime Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kong Gang Zhan having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marcus Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 57th minute of the game.
