Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristiano Correia kicked off to start the match. In the 7th match minute, Club Atlético Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Villerias to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Club Atlético Temperley getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Hermengildo Raymon hit a great ball. Cristiano Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Cristiano Correias short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 22 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ioan Voicu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 29th minute of play. Cristiano Correia struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Temperley. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Pitin. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Voicu having to interfere. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ioan Voicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Correia came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The supporters of Ecuador booed when Club Atlético Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Laurendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Luis Andino took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ioan Voicu to make any attempt to save it. In the 60thth minute of the game Cristiano Correia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Cristiano Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Ioan Voicu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The nice shot from Daniel Zorita in the 66thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ioan Voicu had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 67th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ioan Voicu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Laurendi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Club Atlético Temperley were awarded a corner. Joel Pitin went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Atlético Temperley were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ecuador for a fine match.
