The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrik Skark got free with Rolando Noboa in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Blue Angels's Patrik Skark slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-2 after 15 minutes of play. 18 minutes into the game, Blue Angels's Alf Björk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Angel-Enrique Comizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Blue Angels's Angel-Enrique Comizzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of play. Luz Tejedor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomas Rogne made in the 35th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Patrik Skark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Alf Björk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Thomas Rogne's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Rogne helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Blue Angels getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Thomas Rogne hit a great ball. Blue Angels's Angel-Enrique Comizzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Björk, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 55th minute. Angel-Enrique Comizzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Alf Björk fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blue Angels's protests and gave Alf Björk a yellow card for diving instead. 76 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Björk came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Blue Angels's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Angel-Enrique Comizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angel-Enrique Comizzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
