Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ntinos Salevris kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play forced SAPSALOMADA FC's goalkeeper Nikos Nikolaou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 5 minutes, Ntinos Salevris made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 19 minutes into the match, SAPSALOMADA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Nikos Nikolaou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nikos Nikolaou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SAPSALOMADA FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ntinos Salevris in the 27th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikos Nikolaou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. If Ntinos Salevris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Umur Sehhar came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the SAPSALOMADA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umur Sehhar couldn't finish the play. After 56 played minutes SAPSALOMADA FC got a freekick which was hit by Eleftherios Poulis. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ntinos Salevris in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikos Nikolaou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 66th minute. SAPSALOMADA FC's Nikos Nikolaou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save SAPSALOMADA FC from getting a goal against them. In the 75thth minute of the game Eleftherios Poulis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Eleftherios Poulis fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAPSALOMADA FC's protests and gave Eleftherios Poulis a yellow card for diving instead. Adolfo Azeari's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Azeari helped the player get up and apologised. Adolfo Azeari hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but SAPSALOMADA FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
