With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olívio Correia saved Olympiacos FC from getting behind. The Chile fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Chile's Mariano Lacasa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chile's Francisco Carballar suffered a sore foot after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 44 minutes into the game, Xosé Lim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympiacos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Themos Proedropoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Olívio Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Lacasa's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Alexis Kotsanakis scored 1-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, Kristian Malmström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olívio Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Olívio Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. In the 76th minute Themos Proedropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olívio Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Xosé Lim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Xosé Lim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Themos Proedropoulos came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Themos Proedropoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle sounded Chile left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Olympiacos FC.
