In the 41st minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niculae Rădvan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC PIETROSUL -MM- getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Sever Crăiniceanu hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Eliseo Mina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Eliseo Mina hit a great ball. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
