Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Felipe van Basten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Ştefan Bobeica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Moises Tafalla got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Felipe van Basten fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qjos MiLLano's protests and gave Felipe van Basten a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Qjos MiLLano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe van Basten to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Qjos MiLLano's Ruy Favoretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. Ştefan Bobeica might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ştefan Bobeica ran back to his position shaking his head. Qjos MiLLano's Felipe van Basten got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Felipe van Basten off the ground. After 38 played minutes Qjos MiLLano got a freekick which was hit by Felipe van Basten. The supporters of Qjos MiLLano booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Bobeica came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45thth minute of the game Ştefan Bobeica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Neiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Ştefan Bobeica notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Bobeica in the 69th minute of play. Erik Vale made in the 75th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ştefan Bobeica. Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Ştefan Bobeica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Ştefan Bobeica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Qjos MiLLano's Dário Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Villa in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Qjos MiLLano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Honduras's Edmundo Espiga to fire away a dangerous shot which Dário Neiva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 88th minute, Erik Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Ivan Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the game, Qjos MiLLano's Ştefan Bobeica nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.
