The crowd rose to their feet as Aves Negras's Guter Tobia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Fiúza. That made the score 2-0 after 12 minutes of play. With a little luck, Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza got control of the ball when Guter Tobia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Augustin Panaiteanu got a throw-in 21 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Severino Torcato. Samuel Fiúza made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Guter Tobia sent off a good shot on target. The throw-in from Raimundo Padro in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Amado Melo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 28th minute of play forced Aves Negras's goalkeeper Marcial Bakar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Bakar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Humberto Urtsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Augustin Panaiteanu with Joaquim Paredes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gremio Viana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guter Tobia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Aves Negras made a substitution. Aaron Gallagher replaced Humberto Urtsin. Ke Zhi Jian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Marcial Bakar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Marten Descamps threw the ball into play from the sideline. Gremio Viana's Amado Melo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 68th minute, Carlos Luna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aves Negras's Horacio Matro was substituted for Tamer Yalçıner. Gremio Viana's Samuel Fiúza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Artal in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Luna got free with Marcial Bakar in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gremio Viana's Antonio Calisto was substituted for Tony Påk. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Mohamed Ali Bomba replaced Severino Torcato. Aves Negras's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
