The Honduras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Eleazar saved Despidida AFC from getting behind. Hernan Eleazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Hernan Eleazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernan Eleazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Eleazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Eleazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 24th minute. Hernan Eleazar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After 28 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Moises Tafalla. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Faustino Gaztea hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes, Honduras's Christian Sancho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hernan Eleazar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. After 47 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Christian Sancho. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Eleazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes Despidida AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmundo Espiga who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Sebastian Villa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Hernan Eleazar stood somewhat misplaced when Edmundo Espiga came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 57 minute. In the 60th minute of the match, Edmundo Espiga tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hernan Eleazar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edmundo Espiga in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hernan Eleazar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Despidida AFC's Faustino Gaztea got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Sebastian Villa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Eleazar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 69 minutes into the game, Armando Ubarna threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 70 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Despidida AFC's Hernan Eleazar. Hernan Eleazar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hernan Eleazar came out and tried to block the shot, but Edmundo Espiga slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 73rd minute. Despidida AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Villa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. In the 94th minute, Luca Espinar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Eleazar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-10. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Despidida AFC throughout the match.
