The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teodor Hreapcă kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Curacao. 16 minutes into the match, Aaron Llorian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Llorian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Llorian in the 24th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Troy Kennedy. Curacao's Stanley Wallace got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Stanley Wallace hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandru Bușcu in the 37th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Eduard Sandu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steaua Nordului's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curacao the free kick. A collision led to Steaua Nordului getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Eduard Sandu hit a great ball. In the 44th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Kennedy to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Alexandru Bușcu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Barrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Charles Cox charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 54 played minutes, Steaua Nordului's Răzvan Negru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruno Barrett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Steaua Nordului reached it. Curacao's Bruno Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Curacao from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Stanley Wallace hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Răzvan Negru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Bușcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Rocco Owen's late challenge caught a Steaua Nordului's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rocco Owen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Rocco Owen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaron Llorian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Bruno Barrett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 81st match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Troy Kennedy to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Aaron Llorian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Steaua Nordului fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Steaua Nordului's goalkeeper Davi de Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Steaua Nordului getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Corneliu Mironov hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Steaua Nordului left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Curacao.
