Sufi Hançer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 8th minute, Murathan Paye ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ahmet Bedri Hasret scored 2-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sufi Hançer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Murathan Paye recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joshua Secada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sufi Hançer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in İki Gözümün Çiçeği's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sufi Hançer came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, İki Gözümün Çiçeği's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Murathan Paye, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murathan Paye was the one to do the kick off. Murathan Paye took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 56th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Murathan Paye stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Murathan Paye tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Ahmet Bedri Hasret hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Nuratay Göktepe hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the game, İki Gözümün Çiçeği's Azmi Akburak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. İki Gözümün Çiçeği's Nuratay Göktepe got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of İki Gözümün Çiçeği booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Ahmet Bedri Hasret sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball.
