Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emanuel Markham took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Borys Witek came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Borys Witek. Brufoss IL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Emanuel Markham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brufoss IL's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Markham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Borys Witek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Christer Ribe kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Emanuel Markham struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brufoss IL. In the 24th minute, Kai Østbye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Markham had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 26 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 33 minutes, Emmanuel Schol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brufoss IL and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emmanuel Schol hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match, Emanuel Markham got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jonathan Ferrant was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Borys Witek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Christer Ribe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emmanuel Schol got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 61st match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Schol to maneuver through the defense. After 63 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. 65 minutes into the game, Brufoss IL's Kent Remme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 87th minute Kent Remme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brufoss IL's goalkeeper Borys Witek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kai Østbye took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Kent Remme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere.
