Raido Aas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marko Tihkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Llamas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marko Tihkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marko Tihkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of the match. Marko Tihkan came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play forced Llamas's goalkeeper Marko Tihkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Llamas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Marko Tihkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Tihkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marko Tihkan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 36 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Marko Tihkan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Llamas's Väino Haugas was substituted for Sander Hanni. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ervin Teller in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Väino Haugas in the 58th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Marko Tihkan in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Marko Tihkan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Väino Haugas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Raido Aas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Llamas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raido Aas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
