The supporters of Candelaria FC booed when Canada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Hill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bart Pellen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Testa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rohan Watson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Canada got a corner. Candelaria FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Despite this Danilo Testa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 31 minutes into the match, Sven-Olof Sjöberg notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Canada's Jax Williamson. Jax Williamson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 33 minutes into the game, Jan Dixon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Danilo Testa. Jan Dixon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Danilo Testa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Dixon's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Matthijs Dekens in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Canada's Luka Harris. After a defensive mix-up in Candelaria FC's zone, Richard Mccarthy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Testa came out of the goal and Richard Mccarthy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Koby Wright to make the kick off. Danilo Testa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koby Wright, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Sabastian Rodriguez fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candelaria FC's protests and gave Sabastian Rodriguez a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Dixon in the 71st minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Danilo Testa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Canada fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Canada's Jan Dixon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jan Dixon might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Testa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Dixon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute Jan Dixon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Testa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 minutes of play, Canada's Richard Mccarthy made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Testa was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Jan Dixon sped through Candelaria FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danilo Testa. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Filip Edwards sped through Candelaria FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Danilo Testa. Filip Edwards succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-1. 96 minutes into the match, Jan Dixon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danilo Testa. Candelaria FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Dixon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. There was no doubt that Canada were the better team. Canada's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
