Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Recep Tayyip Özaktuğ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. Recep Tayyip Özaktuğ made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Recep Tayyip Özaktuğ. That made the score 0-4 after 59 minutes of play. After 63 played minutes Piano Sonata got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Schick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnabé Junior in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Anıl Baran Timur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Recep Tayyip Özaktuğ in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kutlay Erdemir kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnabé Junior in the 78th minute of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
