Charly Good didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Sporting Buceo's Isaias Jakue nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Juan Sartori kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaias Jakue in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Isaias Jakue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chile's Jose Manzanedo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Oscar Ruggeri in the 33 minute of the game. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Maximo Horquizar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Jakue in the 41st minute of the match. When Isaias Jakue came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sporting Buceo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaias Jakue couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Mariano Lacasa hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximo Horquizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 50th minute of play. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Jakue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Segundo Aureo in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chile's Pedro Indiano. Maximo Horquizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 60th minute of play. Maximo Horquizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Sporting Buceo's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Maximo Horquizar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting Buceo's Maureen Franco was substituted for Yao Yan Sen. Sporting Buceo made a substitution. Charly Good replaced Filimon Gamburtsev. Xinto Carreiras came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Thiago Pliego could save by the left post. Maximo Horquizar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charly Good received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xinto Carreiras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Xinto Carreiras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xinto Carreiras. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Xinto Carreiras tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Chile booed when Sporting Buceo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Ruggeri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Horquizar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sporting Buceo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
