Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filomeno Tormes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ermegildo Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 15th minute of the match. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Ermegildo Delgado despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filomeno Tormes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Asturcones d´la Abadía's Filomeno Tormes came free and shot a quick shot against goal 27 minutes in the game, fortunately Julio Vera had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After having played for 31 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute Xurxo Lagunas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veremundo Lastras in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Filomeno Tormes made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Juan Sebastián Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Asturcones d´la Abadía the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Filomeno Tormes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Filomeno Tormes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute Filomeno Tormes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes, Agustín Saelices mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Asturcones d´la Abadía players grew even worse after the yellow card. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Tormes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Asturcones d´la Abadía's Alejandro Fernandez got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Asturcones d´la Abadía's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ermegildo Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ermegildo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asturcones d´la Abadía's Montrel Olmedo was substituted for Angelo Esteban. Ermegildo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Veremundo Lastras scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Muzaffer Yürük kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Asturcones d´la Abadía got a freekick which was hit by Muzaffer Yürük. After a rather tough play, Asturcones d´la Abadía's David Valverde got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Asturcones d´la Abadía were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
