In the 29th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Beldad to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Robbin van Persie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robbin van Persie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Aureliusz Kochniarczyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbin van Persie to make the kick off. Robbin van Persie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. TeamSystem's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbin van Persie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbin van Persie in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, TeamSystem's Chan Clas got a free kick in the 80th minute. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbin van Persie in the 85th minute of the match. When Robbin van Persie came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the TeamSystem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbin van Persie couldn't finish the play.
