In the 11thth minute of the game Nikola Krstović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FCFiratRom's Ejder Baba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, FCFiratRom's goalkeeper Ejder Baba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikola Krstović. If Nikola Krstović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Nikola Krstović sped through FCFiratRom's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ejder Baba. After 27 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Roman Fujarczuk. When FCFiratRom's Modesto Socorro in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of FCFiratRom booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jozef Cibulka didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

FCFiratRom's Mustafa Cumhur Tokyürek was substituted for Modesto Socorro. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nikola Krstović stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tim Hebel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Cumhur Tokyürek in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Cumhur Tokyürek came free, but Tim Hebel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FCFiratRom's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roman Fujarczuk ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FCFiratRom's goalie and right to Alek Justus. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FCFiratRom's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mustafa Cumhur Tokyürek scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Hebel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Halit Ziya Ustaoğlu made a great header on FCFiratRom's corner, it was just that AFK Petržalka's Tim Hebel managed to reach the ball for a save. Tim Hebel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İbrahim Trabzonlu in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to FCFiratRom getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. The AFK Petržalka fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FCFiratRom were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
