The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silverio Semeno took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfons Lövgren. Alfons Lövgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bahrtys Talanger's Alfons Lövgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Quexal in the 7th minute of play. Modesto Theodore made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Bernardo Silva sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute Fabian Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modesto Theodore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paunero's goalkeeper Modesto Theodore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Ruy in the 16th minute of play forced Bahrtys Talanger's goalkeeper Alfons Lövgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfons Lövgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Quexal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Paunero's Silverio Semeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfons Lövgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernardo Silva's late challenge caught a Paunero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Silva helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Paunero booed when Bahrtys Talanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfons Lövgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Mel, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Modesto Theodore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Hermansson in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Bahrtys Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Mel came free, but Alfons Lövgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bernardo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bahrtys Talanger's Bernardo Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Paunero were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Silverio Semeno made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Paunero's zone, Bernardo Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Theodore came out of the goal and Bernardo Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 played minutes Bahrtys Talanger got a freekick which was hit by Ola Strömqvist. When Conrado Gartxot came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Paunero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Gartxot couldn't finish the play. Conrado Gartxot charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conrado Gartxot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Conrado Gartxot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th match minute, Paunero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Gartxot to maneuver through the defense. When Bahrtys Talanger's Bernardo Silva in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
