Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emilian Todoran started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Hector Covarrubias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Bântu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Bântu having to interfere. The supporters of Fotbal Club Vaslui booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Bântu came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodor Oneț. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Albu during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Teodor Oneț tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilian Todoran in the 29th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31stth minute of the game Jaime Pardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fotbal Club Vaslui's Marcel Bântu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Primitivo Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Marcel Bântu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Potra charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Potra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fotbal Club Vaslui getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Alex Potra hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jaime Pardo in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcel Bântu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Paraguay's Jaime Pardo in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcel Bântu. Jaime Pardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Marcel Bântu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Bântu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Covarrubias's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Cristian Albu got a free kick in the 84th minute. Marcel Bântu was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Primitivo Escribano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Primitivo Escribano really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Juan Diego Tenorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Marcel Bântu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Boștină to maneuver through the defense. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Paraguay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fotbal Club Vaslui throughout the match.
