The Chile fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Chile's Mariano Lacasa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Mihail Stroia in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Mihail Stroia made a huge save. Felix Johans scored 4-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mihail Stroia came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. A collision led to Sentimiento Auriazul getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Maximiliano Bustos hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Johans.
