Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Cochrane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Ollie Flesfadar charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ollie Flesfadar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, Australian Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ollie Flesfadar to maneuver through the defense. Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 10th minute of play. Dani Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 12th minute of the match. Dani Cochrane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Cochrane having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Australian Youth Academy's Herman Heberle quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Joshua Secada in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Flesfadar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dani Cochrane was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dani Cochrane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play. Herman Heberle hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, Bradley Obree was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Australian Youth Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Bradley Obree got a free kick in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dani Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ben Minton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Minton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Dani Cochrane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dani Cochrane having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 55 played minutes Tomas Illescas rounded Australian Youth Academy's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. In the 58th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dani Cochrane was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With a little luck, Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Salvador Gisbert fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dani Cochrane quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dani Cochrane. That made the score 0-4 after 85 minutes of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ollie Flesfadar hit a great ball.
