The supporters of Balla 1926 fc booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes, Ciccio Cacciatore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balla 1926 fc and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Balla 1926 fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciccio Cacciatore to maneuver through the defense. Claudio Patricelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Radoslaw Debowski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geirhvatur Ómarsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Claudio Patricelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 50th minute. After 56 minutes Balla 1926 fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Claudio Patricelli firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radoslaw Debowski in the 63rd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Claudio Patricelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Felix Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Claudio Patricelli. Balla 1926 fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geirhvatur Ómarsson in the 74th minute of play. Geirhvatur Ómarsson took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoslaw Debowski in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, Balla 1926 fc's Claudio Patricelli got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Claudio Patricelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
