Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudiu Răducanu in the 13th minute of play. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Răducanu in the 17th minute of play. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Zburliş in the 20th minute of the match. Lütfü Öktemer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. MARAZZINO's Lütfü Öktemer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the USA defense, Claudiu Răducanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. Cassius Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lütfü Öktemer having to interfere. In the 37th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfü Öktemer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by MARAZZINO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. 41 minutes into the match, MARAZZINO's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Lütfü Öktemer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Claudiu Răducanu came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the MARAZZINO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudiu Răducanu couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Claudiu Răducanu made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 60th minute of play forced MARAZZINO's goalkeeper Lütfü Öktemer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA's Marco Baker was substituted for Edward Mcdonald. In the 90th minute, Raphael Moore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lütfü Öktemer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Baker in the 92nd minute of the match. Claudiu Răducanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Marco Day skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Khalid Parry scored 1-4 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lütfü Öktemer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The USA manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing MARAZZINO to win.
