Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas made the kick off and thus started the match. When Augustin Jivulescu fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fotbal Club Vaslui's protests and gave Augustin Jivulescu a yellow card for diving instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Todoran in the 5th minute of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcel Bântu came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Illescas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Augustin Jivulescu in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Jose Correa. In the 15thth minute of the game Emilian Todoran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcel Bântu was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Tomas Illescas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Marcel Bântu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Todoran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Fotbal Club Vaslui getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Emilian Todoran hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcel Bântu. That made the score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. Bamidele Monday Vennegoor Of Hesselink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Marcel Bântu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 41 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fotbal Club Vaslui's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Bântu came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilian Todoran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcel Bântu came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After some careless play in the Fotbal Club Vaslui defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Bântu. The Fotbal Club Vaslui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Bântu should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Marcel Bântu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th match minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Boștină to maneuver through the defense. After 69 played minutes, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcel Bântu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Venezuela reached it. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Marcel Bântu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Costa went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. In the 90thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fotbal Club Vaslui's Marcel Bântu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that Venezuela were the better team. Venezuela's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
