Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Bruno Beugnet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Beugnet in the 40th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Equipo's Unai Papachronopoulos got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofil Chrzan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yavuz Selimhan İğdemir made in the 56th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Equipo's Ismael Furman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milagros Fraga in the 58th minute of play. Ismael Furman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 97th minute, Rafael Gallo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Peru had played much better football throughout.
