Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Leonardo Severo made the kick off and thus started the match. After 3 played minutes Cotinguiba Esporte Clube- got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Severo. 5 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hauk Thuen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Hauk Thuen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hauk Thuen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hauk Thuen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s Hauk Thuen did a great save. Hauk Thuen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hauk Thuen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hauk Thuen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hauk Thuen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hauk Thuen came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Leonardo Severo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hauk Thuen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hauk Thuen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Daniel Zorita put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Hauk Thuen. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Éder Guimarães sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s Hauk Thuen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Cotinguiba Esporte Clube- from getting a goal against them. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Hauk Thuen made a huge save. With a little luck, Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s Hauk Thuen got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Jovanie Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Jovanie Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hauk Thuen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Hauk Thuen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute Felix Montes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Jakob Hegg fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cotinguiba Esporte Clube-'s protests and gave Jakob Hegg a yellow card for diving instead. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Felix Montes. After 79 played minutes Cotinguiba Esporte Clube- got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Hegg. Hauk Thuen made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
