The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Leon Matthäus tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Academia 1903's corner Harald Ek fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. In the 10th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primo Speranza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Primo Speranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Monty Rogers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Primo Speranza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academia 1903's Primo Speranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 19th minute of play. Primo Speranza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 28th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Primo Speranza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Academia 1903's Primo Speranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primo Speranza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Matthäus in the 46th minute of play.

Academia 1903's Jakub Fedor was substituted for Jeremias Ezkerra. After having played for 60 minutes, Leon Matthäus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Matthäus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo was substituted for Leon Matthäus. When USA's Cassius Byrne in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timoteo Columbo went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Primo Speranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's goalkeeper Primo Speranza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sam Campbell. Primo Speranza didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 81st minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Khalid Parry took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Primo Speranza. Primo Speranza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Columbo in the 96th minute of play. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Columbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Khalid Parry took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Primo Speranza to make any attempt to save it. USA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
