Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mazinho Silveira started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Orlando Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Orlando Silva. Desportivo Coala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Desportivo Coala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Tinoco in the 18th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desportivo Coala's Orlando Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Chiquinho Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desportivo Coala's protests and gave Chiquinho Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Guerra. If Mazinho Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Orlando Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orlando Silva. Desportivo Coala's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The Desportivo Coala players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Tinoco in the 61st minute of the match. After 63 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Lopes. 67 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Orlando Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Víktor Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilvan Lopes hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Orlando Silva made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Chiquinho Guerra got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Tinoco came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ivo Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
