Dino Cara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Coriano FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coriano FC's attentive Camillo De Francesco managed to snatch the ball when Efrain Moruga made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armando Adriano scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Cara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Coriano FC's Camillo De Francesco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Eliseo Noboa kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Coriano FC's Christian Vieri. But to his dismay, Christian Vieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Coriano FC's Dino Cara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Coriano FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Coriano FC's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Cara came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Coriano FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Camillo De Francesco hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Coriano FC's zone, Axel Tasis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Cara came out of the goal and Axel Tasis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Coriano FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. In the 80thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coriano FC's Dino Cara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Dino Cara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Lautaro Puig succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 94th playminute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
