The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Radomil Barciniak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters rose to their feet, but Radomil Barciniak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 10 minutes, Leonard Treppa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonard Treppa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Tirant lo Blanch getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. García Diez hit a great ball. The supporters of Colombia booed when Tirant lo Blanch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthimos Kapsis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonard Treppa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Kamal Pahlevi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anthimos Kapsis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Leonard Treppa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Treppa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamal Pahlevi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. Kamal Pahlevi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 66 minutes into the game, Leonard Treppa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Tirant lo Blanch's Carmen Paniagua was substituted for Leonard Treppa. In the 74th minute of the game Orlando Tafalla made a throw-in which Santino Seco played forward. 76 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Kamal Pahlevi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Colombia's Santino Seco fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmen Paniagua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmen Paniagua scored 3-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 83 minutes of play, Tirant lo Blanch's Carmen Paniagua made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Colombia booed when Tirant lo Blanch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pitin Vallejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Kamal Pahlevi in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 93rd minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Carballar hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tirant lo Blanch.
