Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonardo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Capivariano F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Leonardo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Moreira was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute of the match Sebastian Villa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Moreira skillfully saved the ball. In the 25th minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Moreira. Capivariano F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonardo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 33rd minute of play. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonardo Moreira. Leonardo Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmundo Espiga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonardo Moreira. That made the score 0-5 in the 51 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Honduras's Edmundo Espiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leonardo Moreira. That made the score 0-6 after 54 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 58th minute of play forced Capivariano F.C.'s goalkeeper Leonardo Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milagros Cabal might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonardo Moreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Milagros Cabal ran back to his position shaking his head. Sebastian Villa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 minutes of play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonardo Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Edmundo Espiga took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Leonardo Moreira to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 71 in the game by Edmundo Espiga from a close distance when the talented Leonardo Moreira managed to make a qualified save. Capivariano F.C.'s players were relieved. Capivariano F.C.'s Leonardo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Sebastian Villa notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Capivariano F.C.'s Leonardo Moreira. Leonardo Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leonardo Moreira was a little too slow when Sebastian Villa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 0-11. 96 minutes into the game, Sebastian Villa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonardo Moreira. Sebastian Villa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-12. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
