ADCR Loreto United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Alfredo Curado sent off a good shot on target. When Luca Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Zorita couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, ADCR Loreto United FC's Cesário Abrantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vladimiro Matai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesário Abrantes went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With an all-out effort, ADCR Loreto United FC's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cesário Abrantes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vladimiro Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 34th minute of play. After 34 minutes, Facundo Cadaval made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. ADCR Loreto United FC's Vladimiro Matai tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Matai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Matai saved ADCR Loreto United FC from getting behind. Rubim Freitas hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Mexico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Sálvio Ribeiro scored to the left of an out of position Dante Lacasa, making the score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sálvio Ribeiro made a kick off. ADCR Loreto United FC's Vladimiro Matai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save ADCR Loreto United FC from getting a goal against them. Vladimiro Matai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Curado in the 61st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, ADCR Loreto United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Vladimiro Matai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
