Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nistor Popilean got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 6th minute of play forced Sir Alexandria's goalkeeper Bogdan Şimandan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tzonyo Viyachki received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Tzonyo Viyachki slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Pompiliu Pociu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogdan Şimandan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 31st minute, Pompiliu Pociu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sir Alexandria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nistor Popilean in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Sir Alexandria were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eric Alexa took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Eric Alexa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 39 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nistor Popilean took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. In the 59th minute Nistor Popilean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Bogdan Şimandan made a huge save. In the 62nd minute, Pompiliu Pociu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sir Alexandria made a substitution. Rüknettin Toktahan replaced Călin Lemnaru. Bogdan Şimandan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute. When Sir Alexandria's Nistor Popilean in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Saelices's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Bogdan Şimandan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pompiliu Pociu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bogdan Şimandan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Popilean came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Popilean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nistor Popilean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Sir Alexandria support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
